I reread Watchmen — it’s a graphic novel with a brilliant story and incredible storytelling, though I can’t necessarily recommend it because it’s very violent and very dark. It’s an unflinching portrayal of total depravity in a world devoid of grace.
On the flip side, I read Tim Keller’s book on prayer, and that was an excellent read I can wholeheartedly recommend! :)
The Husbands sounds really interesting. I’ll have to add it to my list!
Love this wrap-up! (And thank you for the link. 💌) I NEED this post on Terry Pratchett and Jane Austen posthaste. I've been convinced to read him (but where to start? help!) and I find that connection fascinating!
Sigh...my TBR just got even BIGGER! I'm a huge fan of both Sayers and Lewis and can't believe I haven't read that one yet. Loved The Bean Trees ages ago and might reread, and the Husbands sounds so fun! Plus now, thanks to your links, I have even more tabs open ;) Oh well, it's a nice problem to have. As for me, I have been writing very bad poetry lately, but I'm enjoying the process so much!
Thank you for the book list! I have Husbands on my "Hold" list of ebooks from my library. I was excited to find your firend Gina Dalfonzo in the author list at my library as well. Her books were listed there, but as "Notify Me" -- which means the library doesn't actually have it in ebook form, but if enough people ask for it, they'll get it!
I also read The Husbands earlier this year and thought it was a lot of fun. Some other notable reads were Orbital by Samantha Harvey and Hello Beautiful by Anne Napolitano.
Thank you for the kind words about Dorothy and Jack! I'm so glad you enjoyed it! 😃
It's really good.
Thanks so much, Ruth!

Oooh! I'm a giant Lewis fan so I better check out this biography!
Your poem! 🥰☺️
Thank you for the love, Amy!
